Christopher Smith, MS, LPC-S, LSOTP-S

Mr. Smith earned his master’s degree from Texas A&M – Kingsville in Professional Counseling and Guidance (2007) and has completed all coursework and experiential training to be credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider-Supervisor in the state of Texas (fully licensed since 2014). Mr. Smith has over 20 years experience working in the mental health/criminal justice field. He has twelve years of experience in supervising and co-facilitating groups for emotionally disturbed children (within a Therapeutic Residential home located in Bexar County). He is a managing partner for Life Lanes, LLC (since 12/2013) and Self-Sufficient, PLLC (since 7/2020). He provided contract services with The Center for Cognitive Education LLC from 2009-2021. Mr. Smith provided services for Neuro-counseling & Consulting Services, PLLC (parole clients/Texas Department of Criminal Justice) from 2017-2021. Currently, Mr. Smith contracts under Self-Sufficient, PLLC for the State of Texas and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. In addition, Mr. Smith has met all the Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program Accreditation training standards for group facilitation.

Keshia Smith, BS

Mrs. Smith has earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M – Commerce in Criminal Justice (1999). She has been a managing partner for Life Lanes, LLC (since 12/2013) and Self-Sufficient, PLLC (since 7/2020). She was employed and contracted with The Center for Cognitive Education, LLC from 2008-2021. Mrs. Smith facilitated BIPP and Cognitive Education groups for over 10 years prior to her promotion to Program Manager with The Center for Cognitive Education, LLC. In addition, she has over 20 years of case management experience to include disability determinations for Social Security Administration, social services determinations for Texas Health and Human Services, and offender supervision (SISP, SNOP, TC) for the Texas Parole Division. Mrs. Smith has received specialized training in Cognitive based instruction, Certified "TruThought" Corrective Thinking™ Practitioner, has met the Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program Accreditation training standards for group facilitation, and is a Certified Anger Management Specialist.
